When is the final result visible?
The final shape comes over months, often up to a year, especially at the tip. Judging the final result is not the work of the first month.
What you see when the splint comes off
The external protection usually stays 7 to 12 days. When it comes off the nose is still swollen and sensitive. That is not the final shape. It is an early nose — useful for seeing axis and symmetry, poor for judging the tip.
Bruising, if it comes, peaks around the third day and then fades. Facial swelling in the first week is expected. The tip stays firmer for weeks. Whoever then compares a photograph with the gallery compares swelling with someone else’s late result.
The first three months and the first year
Most facial swelling settles over the first three months. The shape becomes clearer. The tip settles more slowly — often up to a year. Revision heals more slowly than a primary procedure. If a graft was taken, the pace is still more individual.
Whoever judges the result in the sixth week is judging swelling, not the nose. Reviews are arranged in advance. A calendar from a forum is not your plan. The examination confirms the rhythm, not a message in a group.
What else changes the impression
Sun, strain and glasses on a freshly changed bridge can keep swelling and pigment longer. A desk rhythm often starts after the splint comes off, if the work is not physical. The final shape still waits.
If after a year the shape or breathing still bothers you, the conversation goes towards revision — not towards another comparison with someone else’s photograph. The first step then is still an examination in Zagreb.

Why does the tip stay swollen longer?
The skin and cartilage of the tip release fluid more slowly than the bridge. Thick skin hides a change longer. Revision heals even more slowly.
