What the consultation involves
The examination lasts about 45 minutes. It includes a discussion of expectations, an examination of the nose and breathing, and photographs in standard views. At the end you know whether the procedure is for you, what would be done, and what the cost outline is for that plan.
What happens at the examination
The consultation is not a sales conversation. It is there to see anatomy, function and expectation — and to say what is feasible and what is not.

Discussion
What bothers you, since when, what you expect and what is not the aim. If the only reason is to please someone else, that should stop here.

Examination and breathing
External analysis of the face and nose, then endoscopy. The septum, valve and turbinates are looked at, not only the profile.

Photographs
Standard views help the conversation about the plan. They do not replace anatomy and they are not a filter.

Plan and cost outline
If the procedure makes sense, you hear what would be done and what that plan costs. If it does not, the examination stops there.
Before you come
Write down what bothers you and what you expect. Bring earlier records, a CT scan or findings if you have them — they are not required, but they shorten guesswork.
If the nose has already been operated on, say so at the start. Revision is not the same conversation as primary rhinoplasty.
If you are travelling from abroad, the first conversation can be a video call. The surgical plan still follows an in-person examination in Zagreb.

Can I come from abroad and what does the first conversation involve?
The first conversation can be a video call: what bothers you, what you have already had done, what you expect. That is not a substitute for an examination. Endoscopy, photographs in standard views and the cost outline are done in Zagreb. The procedure and reviews as well. Allow for a stay around the removal of the splint, not only on the day of surgery. Travel, lodging and days off are planned after the procedure is agreed. If the plan is not for you, the video call stops there — it does not turn into an operating-room appointment.
How long is the wait for an appointment?
An examination appointment is usually arranged within a few weeks, depending on the practice calendar and your availability. The surgical date comes after the examination, not from a message. Time is needed for findings, an anaesthetic assessment and, in revision, for records of the previous operation. Patients from abroad align travel with the date the splint comes off, so open slots are looked at in blocks. The exact interval is given when you state a window — not as a promise on the page. Emergencies do not follow this order; for those there is emergency care.
