Prim. Marcel Marjanović Kavanagh, univ. mag. med. practises nasal surgery — primary and revision rhinoplasty and procedures in which shape and breathing are resolved together. The aim is a nose that sits in the face, not a nose that announces the procedure. Hospital work is at the Clinic for Ear, Nose and Throat Diseases and Head and Neck Surgery of KBC Zagreb. Private rhinoplasty examinations are held in Zagreb.

Path and training

He completed his specialisation in otorhinolaryngology and his subspecialisation in plastic and reconstructive surgery of the head and neck in Croatia. Training at UPMC in Pittsburgh and at Guy's Hospital in London added work on the face and nose to the hospital ENT framework.

Fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Secretary of the Croatian Society for Skull Base Surgery, 2018–2024.

What he does on the nose

Rhinoplasty here is not separated from breathing. A primary procedure is drawn from the face in front of the surgeon: bridge, tip, base and the relation to forehead and lip. The aim is a nose that belongs to the face, not a nose from a cover.

Revision asks for a different rhythm — scar, lack of cartilage, impaired ventilation. Functional correction enters the same procedure when it is part of the problem.

KBC Zagreb remains part of the work, not an academic CV. At the ENT clinic the anatomy seen every day is not only an aesthetic request: trauma, a previously operated nose, a narrow valve, a septum that already impairs breathing. That background changes how a private procedure is planned.
